With a populist budget, BJP led government in India is trying to attract the farmers keeping in mind the upcoming General Elections. In this budget the government suddenly toned down its pro capitalist drive to woo the agricultural sector that, with the country’s working class had been suffering under neo-liberal policies of the government.
